Accessibility statement

Last updated: September 29, 2026

1. Our commitment

A course you cannot read is a course you should not have been sold. Accessibility is treated here as part of the product, not as a compliance chore bolted on at the end.

2. Conformance

Target: WCAG 2.2, level AA. The site is partially conformant — most of it meets the standard, and the exceptions are listed in section 4 rather than buried.

[Once the catalog is full and a formal audit has been run, replace this with the audit date, who ran it, and either a claim of full conformance or an updated gap list. Do not claim full conformance until someone has actually tested it end to end.]

3. What is in place

  • Contrast. Every text colour is measured against the background it actually sits on. The lightest text used for body copy is 5.6:1, above the 4.5:1 floor.
  • Keyboard. Every control is reachable and operable by keyboard, in a sensible order, with a visible focus ring. Menus and dialogs trap focus and return it where you left off. There is a skip link to the main content.
  • Targets. Interactive controls are at least 44 × 44 px.
  • Images. Meaningful images carry alt text; decorative ones are hidden from assistive technology rather than described pointlessly.
  • Structure. Real headings in order, real landmarks, real lists, real buttons — not styled divs.
  • Forms. Every field has a visible label. Errors are announced, described in words, and never signalled by colour alone.
  • Motion. Animation respects prefers-reduced-motion. Nothing moves, flashes or auto-plays on its own.
  • Zoom. Readable at 200% and at 320 px wide without horizontal scrolling.
  • No traps. No content that blocks the page until dismissed, apart from the cookie banner — whose two choices carry equal weight.

4. Known gaps

These are real and we are not pretending otherwise:

  • [Course videos do not yet have captions or transcripts. This is the largest gap, and it is content we receive from creators rather than produce. State the plan and the date.]
  • [Checkout is rendered by Shopify and we do not fully control its markup. Test it and record what you find.]
  • [No screen-reader testing on mobile VoiceOver or TalkBack yet.]

5. How it was tested

Self-assessment, using a contrast checker that measures the effective background, keyboard-only walkthroughs of every page, and an in-house audit script covering contrast, alt text, accessible names, heading order, ARIA references and target size.

[Add: date of the last pass, browsers and assistive technologies used, and whether anyone who actually relies on a screen reader has tested it. Self-assessment alone is a starting point, not a conclusion.]

6. Course content

The site and the courses are two different things. We control the site fully. Course material comes from its creator, and its accessibility varies.

If a course you bought is unusable for you, tell us and we will refund it in full — outside the 3-day window, with no argument. That applies whether or not the format was described accurately before purchase.

7. Getting help another way

If any part of this site blocks you, we will do it with you by email or phone instead: buying, requesting a refund, exercising a privacy right, anything.

8. Feedback and complaints

Tell us what broke, on which page, and what you were using — that is enough. We acknowledge within 2 business days and tell you whether we can fix it and when.
